[Remote] Senior Integration Engineer

Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Senior Integration Engineer to join our client to drive enterprise integration strategy and deliver scalable API solutions across complex technology environments. This role focuses on enabling seamless connectivity between systems, establishing consistent standards, and improving data flow across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and execution of integration architecture, including REST and event driven APIs, to support multiple concurrent initiatives
• Oversee the intake, prioritization, and delivery of integration requests while ensuring efficient workflows and clear ownership
• Establish and enforce enterprise API standards, governance practices, and secure data handling methods including tokenization of sensitive information
• Design and maintain scalable integration patterns using API gateways, orchestration platforms, and event streaming technologies such as Kafka
• Provide hands on technical leadership, partnering with engineering and data teams to align integration solutions with enterprise data models and unblock delivery challenges

Skills

• Demonstrated experience designing API ecosystems, including REST, AsyncAPI, and event driven architecture frameworks
• Strong knowledge of authentication and security protocols such as OAuth2 and OpenID Connect, with experience protecting sensitive data
• Proven ability working with API management and integration platforms such as Gravitee, Workato, Apigee, or MuleSoft
• Experience building and supporting streaming data pipelines using Kafka or similar tools, along with exposure to workflow orchestration platforms
• Effective communication skills with the ability to work independently, collaborate across teams, and navigate complex or ambiguous environments
