[Remote] Senior Full Stack AI Engineer (RAG / GenAI)
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Tenth Revolution Group is a well-funded, early-stage AI consultancy led by an experienced leadership team. They are seeking a Senior Full Stack AI Engineer to design and build AI-powered applications, particularly focusing on Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems, while collaborating with clients to translate business needs into technical solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deploy AI-powered applications from concept to production
- Architect and implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems for real-world business use cases
- Develop scalable backend services and modern frontend experiences
- Build and optimize document ingestion, embedding, retrieval, and evaluation pipelines
- Select and implement vector database solutions based on client requirements
- Collaborate directly with clients to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions
- Evaluate emerging AI technologies and incorporate best practices into delivery efforts
- Contribute to architecture decisions, technical strategy, and engineering standards within a fast-growing startup environment
Skills
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong full-stack development experience building production applications
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience building and deploying RAG-based AI solutions
- Experience with multiple vector databases such as Pinecone, Weaviate, Qdrant, Milvus, pgvector, or similar technologies
- Deep understanding of document chunking, embedding strategies, retrieval techniques, reranking, and search optimization
- Experience integrating LLMs into customer-facing products and workflows
- Strong backend development skills with modern APIs and cloud-native architectures
- Experience deploying and operating applications in AWS, Azure, or GCP environments
- Ability to discuss technical tradeoffs and architectural decisions with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Prior consulting or client-facing experience
- Experience working within startups or high-growth environments
- Familiarity with AI evaluation frameworks, observability, and production monitoring
- Experience with agentic workflows, orchestration frameworks, and advanced retrieval techniques
- Exposure to multi-tenant SaaS architectures
