[Remote] Senior Cloud System Administrator

They are seeking a Senior Cloud System Administrator to build, maintain, and optimize scalable cloud infrastructure primarily in Linux environments, ensuring system reliability and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Mentor team members and foster a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning
- Deploy, manage, and maintain scalable, automated, and well-documented systems
- Build, scale, and secure cloud infrastructure with a focus on Linux environments
- Leverage open-source technologies to enhance platform performance and reliability
- Operate within heterogeneous environments, ensuring seamless integration across systems and applications
- Serve as an escalation point for complex infrastructure and system issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support operational efficiency and system performance
- Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to support critical infrastructure
Skills
- DEC or bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience as a System Administrator in cloud or infrastructure environments
- Strong experience with Linux system administration and troubleshooting
- Hands-on experience configuring and managing core services such as HTTPd, MySQL, NFS, DHCP, SSH, DNS, and SNMP
- Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language (Shell, Python, Ruby, or Java)
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
