[Remote] Senior Business Systems Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Trident Consulting is seeking a Senior Business Systems Engineer to help build, maintain, and troubleshoot the company's rapidly expanding infrastructure. The ideal candidate will work alongside other engineers to ensure high levels of performance and manage problems that arise, while also designing and developing integrations across enterprise platforms.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain integrations across enterprise platforms including ERP, procurement, tax, and expense systems
- Support and enhance Oracle Fusion ERP finance modules such as AP, AR, GL, and Procurement
- Build APIs, middleware services, and data pipelines to improve system connectivity and reliability
- Partner closely with Finance, Accounting, IT, and Engineering teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
- Drive automation initiatives for finance workflows including reconciliations, approvals, and close processes
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes
- Contribute to continuous improvement of enterprise systems architecture and operational efficiency
- Participate in system upgrades, testing, deployment, and documentation activities
Skills
- 5–8 years of experience in Business Systems Engineering, ERP development, or enterprise application engineering
- Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion ERP / Oracle ERP Cloud
- Solid understanding of finance and accounting processes such as Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Record-to-Report (R2R), and Order-to-Cash (O2C)
- Experience building REST APIs and enterprise integrations
- Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language such as Python or Java
- Experience working with middleware and integration platforms
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to independently manage projects and collaborate across cross-functional teams
- Experience with workflow automation tools or RPA platforms
- Exposure to ETL/data integration tools
- Knowledge of enterprise security and governance best practices
- Experience in high-growth or large-scale technology environments
