[Remote] Senior Accountant (Remote)

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Celero Commerce is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their dynamic Accounting team in a remote role. This position offers the opportunity to lead critical financial processes, collaborate across departments, and mentor others while making a meaningful impact on the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate month-end close activities to ensure timely, accurate financial reporting
• Prepare complex journal entries and reconcile balance sheet accounts
• Manage multi-entity consolidations, allocations, and eliminations
• Maintain the fixed asset schedule, including capitalization, depreciation, and tracking
• Support external audits with schedules, documentation, and responses
• Partner with cross-functional teams to analyze financial data and provide insights for decision-making
• Mentor and train junior staff members, fostering team growth and knowledge-sharing
• Identify and implement process improvements to streamline operations and enhance efficiency

Skills

• Payments Industry experience required
• 3-5+ years of experience in a similar position
• Proven experience leading month-end close processes and preparing journal entries
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards
• Advanced Excel skills for financial analysis and reporting
• Experience with NetSuite (or similar accounting systems)
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Effective communicator who collaborates well across teams
• Leadership mindset with the ability to mentor and guide junior staff
• A proactive, self-starter attitude with the ability to problem-solve and drive improvements
