[Remote] Sales Account Manager - Automotive Aftermarket OES
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Sensata Technologies is a leader in automotive solutions, and they are seeking a Sales Account Manager to drive growth in the automotive aftermarket and Original Equipment Service channels. This role focuses on building strategic relationships with dealer networks and OEM-affiliated service organizations to enhance product adoption and market penetration.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for selling the company's products or services developing new accounts and/or expanding existing accounts
- Primary responsibility may include finding, generating and developing new distribution partners in order to sell the company's products to end-users
- Creates awareness and demand for company products
- Pursue sales leads
- Lead in visits to existing and new customers
- Analyze customer needs and suggest appropriate products and services
- Respond to customer enquiries; and conclude sales orders to meet established revenue targets
- Innovate / create sales skills and knowledge of the organization's products, services, and customers
- Perform supplier audits on site at distributor warehouse locations
- Identify and implement efficiency opportunities such as distributor dashboards, etc
- Initiate regular communication with distributors to mitigate shipment errors and discrepancies
Skills
- A bachelor's in engineering (preferably mechanical/electrical or electronic), or a business degree with significant experience in a technical environment
- Significant sales and marketing experience at a senior level in Business-to-Business key account management in an industrial environment
- Exceptional commercial acumen paired with solid operational and technical backgrounds
- Ability to convert customer needs into compelling offerings
- Holds self and others accountable to achieving goals and standards
- Excellent communication (oral, written and presentation), analytical and negotiation skills
- Organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
- Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
- Experience of working with sensors and industrial automation products is preferable
- Distribution sales and management experience will be a strong plus
