[Remote] Risk Consultant
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. ThreePDS Inc. is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Risk Consulting Specialist to support clients with Workers' Compensation Qualified Self-Insurance compliance and state reporting requirements across multiple jurisdictions. This role involves managing filings, coordinating documentation, and ensuring compliance with state regulations.
Responsibilities
- Manage quarterly and annual Workers' Compensation Qualified Self-Insurance reporting requirements across multiple states
- Maintain reporting schedules and ensure all state filing deadlines are met
- Monitor compliance requirements and proactively track outstanding items to prevent missed deadlines
- Submit and maintain required documentation through various state web portals
- Request and collect payroll information, class codes, hours worked, financial statements, loss information, actuarial reports, and other required documentation
- Follow up with clients, TPAs, and other stakeholders to obtain required information within established deadlines
- Guide clients through certification, approval, and submission processes within state reporting systems
- Provide instruction regarding state payment requirements and filing procedures
- Maintain detailed records of all client communications, documentation requests, filings, proof of payments, and regulatory correspondence
- Track reporting status for multiple clients, entities, and jurisdictions simultaneously
- Ensure documentation is complete, accurate, and audit-ready
- Assist clients with adding new entities to state self-insurance programs when applicable
- Coordinate the review of surety bonds and other security requirements with various state agencies
- Provide actuarial reports and supporting documentation required for security reviews and compliance
Skills
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Experience supporting workers' compensation compliance, employer risk management, payroll, HR, insurance consulting, or related functions
- Experience managing quarterly or annual regulatory filings preferred
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and strict deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Experience managing Workers' Compensation Qualified Self-Insurance filings
- Experience with multi-state regulatory reporting
- Employer-side experience within Risk Management, Human Resources, or Payroll departments
- Experience working for an insurance broker, consulting firm, or state labor/insurance agency
- Familiarity with state workers' compensation web portals and filing processes
- Experience reviewing payroll data, financial statements, actuarial reports, and compliance documentation
