[Remote] Revenue Accountant
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Hunter Hamilton is hiring an Accountant II to join their Global Order to Cash Accounting team focused on multinational SaaS operations. This role involves agency commissions accounting and requires strong analytical skills and collaboration across various finance teams.
Responsibilities
- Support the agency commissions accounting process and partner with Revenue & Growth, AP, AR, and Billing teams to ensure alignment and reporting accuracy
- Prepare month-end journal entries, account reconciliations, and OTC financial reporting schedules
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, year-to-date, and year-over-year variance analysis and supporting schedules
- Maintain monthly close templates, reconciliations, and assigned OTC accounting processes
- Support revenue recognition and order-to-cash accounting activities within a SaaS environment
- Assist with SOX compliance efforts, including internal controls documentation and process narratives
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure financial reporting accuracy, completeness, and audit readiness
- Prepare audit support documentation and respond to internal and external audit requests
- Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and reporting issues in a timely manner
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, automate recurring tasks, and streamline workflows
- Manage multiple deadlines in a high-volume, fast-paced accounting environment
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 2–4 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within SaaS or multinational organizations
- Understanding of US GAAP, IFRS, revenue recognition, and OTC accounting processes
- Experience with journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close activities
- Strong Excel skills including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and financial analysis
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills with the ability to work independently
- Workday Financials experience highly preferred
- Experience with Zuora, Alteryx, SQL, or AI tools is a plus
