[Remote] Retention Marketing Account Manager
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Zen Den is a fast-growing startup seeking a Retention Marketing Account Manager who’s excited to make an impact and grow with them. This role involves managing email, SMS, and loyalty campaigns for cannabis clients and plays a key role in shaping retention marketing as a service.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute retention marketing strategies across email, SMS, and loyalty platforms for cannabis retail clients
- Create, implement, and manage automated and custom weekly marketing campaigns
- Collaborate with clients to gather assets, campaign briefs, requirements, and feedback in weekly meetings
- Design and optimize campaign templates for performance and engagement
- Track, analyze, and report on campaign performance metrics, using data to inform strategy
- Ensure campaigns align with clients’ brand voice and goals
- Work cross-functionally with internal marketing teams to ensure cohesive campaign integration
- Stay current with retention marketing trends and best practices, particularly within the cannabis retail space
- Help build out internal processes and documentation to scale retention marketing efforts
Skills
- 2+ years of experience in email, SMS, or loyalty marketing, ideally in an agency or startup environment
- Strong client-facing communication skills — you're organized, clear, and empathetic
- Hands-on experience with retention tools like Alpine IQ, Klaviyo, Mailchimp, Happy Cabbage, or similar
- Ability to balance big-picture thinking with detailed execution
- A self-starter mindset with a desire to lead and grow with a team
- Familiarity with the cannabis industry is a plus, but not required
