Dice is seeking a Senior FullStack Platform Software Engineer to contribute to their next-generation Clinical Digital Assistant platform. The role involves designing and building user-facing applications and backend services that enhance healthcare experiences using generative AI and cloud-native technologies.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications for the CDA platform, including modern React-based user interfaces and cloud-native backend services
- Collaborate closely with AI researchers, software developers, product managers, UX designers, and healthcare domain experts to define and deliver innovative solutions
- Build responsive, accessible, and high-performing front-end applications using React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, and modern web technologies
- Develop and maintain backend services and APIs using Java, Python, or similar object-oriented programming languages
- Design and implement scalable microservices and RESTful APIs to support AI-driven healthcare applications
- Develop and optimize data ingestion, storage, processing, and retrieval capabilities that power intelligent healthcare workflows
- Integrate generative AI, search technologies, and NLP capabilities to enable conversational experiences, semantic search, summarization, and decision support features
- Build and optimize data pipelines using technologies such as Kafka, Flink, RabbitMQ, and related event-driven architectures
- Collaborate with UX and product teams to deliver intuitive user experiences and ensure seamless integration between front-end and backend systems
- Ensure application security, privacy, and compliance through secure coding practices, access controls, encryption, and adherence to healthcare regulations
- Participate in architecture reviews, code reviews, and technical design discussions to maintain engineering excellence
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning
- Stay current with emerging technologies in AI, cloud computing, web development, and healthcare to drive platform innovation
Skills
- BS or MS degree in Computer Science or a related field is required
- 4+ years of professional software development experience, including both front-end and backend application development
- Strong experience building modern web applications using React and JavaScript/TypeScript
- Proficiency in Java, Python, or similar object-oriented programming languages for backend development
- Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, design patterns, and distributed systems
- Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs, microservices, and cloud-native applications
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as OCI, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience working with databases, data modeling, and scalable data platforms
- Knowledge of event-driven architectures and messaging technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar frameworks
- Understanding of frontend best practices, including responsive design, state management, accessibility, performance optimization, and testing frameworks
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams
- Demonstrated technical leadership, problem-solving ability, and passion for mentoring engineers
- Experience building AI-powered or data-intensive applications
- Familiarity with healthcare technologies, healthcare data standards, or regulated environments
- Experience with modern frontend tooling and frameworks such as Redux, React Query, Next.js, Jest, Cypress, or similar technologies
- Exposure to generative AI, large language models (LLMs), vector databases, and search technologies

- Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment.
