[Remote] Recruiter (contract)
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Microsoft is seeking experienced Talent Acquisition Recruiters to join a dynamic Engineering Organization supporting specialized technical domains. This role involves managing end-to-end recruiting across both high-volume event hiring and traditional requisition-based hiring, partnering closely with senior engineering leaders to attract and close top technical talent.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate full-cycle recruiting expertise including sourcing, interviewing, and closing candidates to ensure a seamless and efficient recruitment process
- Strategically position the organization's strengths against top competitors to effectively close offers with highly sought-after technical candidates
- Use data and metrics to identify talent gaps, advise on hiring strategies, and continuously improve recruiting efficiency
- Engage and influence leadership stakeholders including hiring managers and executive staff with a strong executive presence
- Manage escalations and develop effective solutions to challenges that arise throughout the recruitment process
- Partner with hiring managers on workforce planning and develop sourcing strategies tailored to competitive technical talent markets
- Conduct candidate assessments evaluating both technical competencies and soft skills
- Drive offer negotiations and closings while delivering an exceptional candidate experience
- Balance high-volume event hiring alongside traditional requisition-based hiring simultaneously
- Ensure compliance with legal policies and procedures related to hiring practices throughout all recruiting activities
Skills
- Minimum 5 years of full-cycle talent acquisition experience in a recruiting capacity
- Minimum 5 years of demonstrated customer service orientation within a recruiting or talent acquisition context
- Minimum 5 years of experience operating with a team-oriented and highly accountable mindset in a collaborative hiring environment
- Strong understanding of talent markets and candidate profiles within engineering and technical disciplines
- Demonstrated knowledge of employment law and hiring compliance practices
- Proven experience recruiting for one or more engineering domains such as AI & Machine Learning, Data Center, Security, Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, or Experiences & Devices
- Demonstrated track record of developing and executing sourcing strategies in competitive technical talent markets with tight deadlines
- Prior experience partnering with senior engineering leaders and executive stakeholders on workforce planning and hiring strategy
- Experience managing both high-volume event hiring and requisition-based hiring concurrently
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred
