[Remote] Quality Assurance Automation Engineer

They are seeking a QA Automation Engineer (SDET) to design and maintain automation frameworks that enhance product reliability and quality, while leading the end-to-end testing lifecycle in the healthcare domain.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automation frameworks, pipelines, and automated tests (unit, API, integration, E2E)
- Write and execute automated and manual tests; analyze logs, metrics, and defects
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to refine requirements and testing strategies
- Document frameworks, test cases, and reporting metrics
- Integrate testing processes into CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous delivery of quality software
- Work closely with product managers and development teams to align on requirements and acceptance criteria
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
- Ensure software compliance with industry regulations, including HIPAA, FDA, and GDPR
- Provide regular updates to stakeholders on testing progress and results
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on proven experience in software QA with a focus on writing automation test cases, preferably in the health tech industry
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and CI/CD pipelines
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, or similar
- Familiarity with API testing tools and frameworks
- Basic SQL skills for database validation and troubleshooting
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with minimal supervision
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations (HIPAA, FDA, GDPR)
