[Remote] Project Manager (Defense & Offshore – Customer Projects)

GE Vernova is a leader in energy solutions, and they are seeking a Project Manager to oversee Electrification projects within the Defense & Offshore segment. The Project Manager will be responsible for leading project execution, ensuring adherence to quality and customer satisfaction while managing cross-functional teams and financial performance.
Responsibilities
- Leading multiple large-scale electrification projects across all phases, from order entry through installation and commissioning
- Planning, coordinating, and executing engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and site activities across GE Vernova and subcontracted partners to meet contractual scope, cost, quality, and schedule commitments
- Acting as the primary customer interface, ensuring clear communication, fostering trust, and proactively managing expectations and relationships
- Driving cross-functional project teams with effective leadership, accountability, and collaborative engagement
- Managing and controlling daily project operations while adapting to changing customer and business needs
- Monitoring and reporting project milestones to ensure visibility, predictability, and alignment with key business metrics, including revenue forecasting
- Owning the financial performance of projects, including revenue, contribution margin, cost, cash collection, and compliance with regional business targets
- Leading regular project reviews, financial assessments, and progress updates with internal stakeholders and customers
- Preparing and delivering structured project communications, including kick-off meetings, status reports, customer reports, risk and opportunity assessments, and close-out documentation
- Proactively identifying, escalating, and resolving project risks and issues to safeguard customer satisfaction, ensure compliance, and support overall business results
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field from an accredited university or college
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience as a Project Manager, directly leading full lifecycle delivery of complex Electrical and Automation systems projects - including Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Installation & Commissioning phases
- Prior experience must be in electrification-focused industries such as Marine, Offshore Energy, Utilities, Power Systems, or Process Industries
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to engage effectively with customers, cross-functional teams, and internal stakeholders
- U.S. Citizenship or eligibility to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance due to the nature of defense-related projects
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% for site visits, project execution, and customer engagement
- Experience using SAP or similar ERP systems for project tracking and financial management
- PMP certification (or equivalent project management credential)
- Background in customer-facing roles, particularly in service delivery or project execution environments
- Previous experience working in the Marine, Offshore, or Defense industry segments
- Technical understanding of power conversion systems, including automation and controls, and electrical power systems
- Strong decision-making and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities and deliver on commitments
