[Remote] Project Manager
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Tal Search Group, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager for a one-year remote position based in Tallahassee, Florida. The role involves coordinating project efforts, managing stakeholder communications, and ensuring project deliverables meet established guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Providing overall coordination, status reporting, and stability of project-oriented work efforts
- Attending and/or facilitating meetings with project stakeholder groups
- Assembling project plans and teamwork assignments; directing and monitoring work efforts daily; identifying resource needs; performing quality reviews; and escalating functional, quality, and timeline issues appropriately to the Program Manager
- Communicating effectively regarding all major project areas such as scope, risk, and resources
- Possessing expertise in the business unit(s) they support, as well as an understanding of the IT organization’s systems and capabilities
- Working closely with management, other Project Managers, and the IT unit to ensure that the application meets scope, requirements, and project management guidelines
- Assisting with both internal and external resources to achieve business solutions within project guidelines
- Identifying and eliminating obstacles to solution plans, business goals or implementation
- Other duties as assigned
Skills
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- 4+ years of experience managing IT projects
- Experience working with Agile methodology
- Experience with projects in a program environment (i.e., multiple interrelated and coordinated projects) led by a Program Manager
- Experience with large-scale implementation projects with the following characteristics: On large and high-profile, multiple technologies and functions, and on collaboration with multiple stakeholder groups with diverse and competing needs and expectations
- 7+ years of IT work experience including but not limited to gathering and documenting business and technical requirements; producing technical documentation related to requirements, specifications, traceability matrices, designs, or test scripts; and facilitating business and technical analysis meetings and producing detailed meeting agendas and notes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, Project, SharePoint and PowerPoint
- Bachelor of Science/Arts degree is preferred
- Experience working with Azure DevOps is preferred
- Experience with distributed application architecture is preferred
- Experience working with state government is preferred
