[Remote] Program Manager

Miyamoto International is a global, multi-hazard engineering and disaster risk management firm that builds resilience to sustain economies, safeguard communities and save lives around the world. They are seeking an experienced Program Manager for their Venezuela Earthquake Response Program to provide quality management and oversight, ensuring timely and quality delivery of services while coordinating with various stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Information and deliverables packaging and presentation for client: field teams will ensure accuracy, this review is for completeness, and adherence to donor procedure and presentation standards
- Cross-functional coordination: work across the team with inputs coming from various parties who will contribute throughout the project. Communicate frequently, proactively, and openly across Miyamoto on programming and implementation status, including raising and troubleshooting challenges
- Partnership and Stakeholder Management: Support collaboration across incoming requests and help facilitate links across entities (e.g. clusters from Geneva end & coordination with Venezuela-based focal points)
- DHR focal point: Maintain relationships with DHR, participate in donor meetings, support award follow ups and amendments and ensure donor compliance requirements are understood. Ensure contractual service level agreements with DHR are met and identify risks before deadlines are missed
- Financial oversight: Review budgets, monitor expenditures, support budget revisions, assess burn rates, and coordinate with finance teams on financial risks
- Decision Support: Given LAC regional and country context experience, provide analysis and recommendations regarding program adjustments, resource allocation, and strategic priorities
- Central point of reporting: ability to rapidly provide quick download on response progress, challenges, financial status, and emerging risks
- Hiring: Support to staffing outreach support and track onboarding /vetting through terrorism databases
- Track Miyamoto field deployments—who is coming in and out, security, visa, travel issues and backstop. Coordinating across multiple time zones and managing after-hours and on-call coverage. Facilitate onboarding support of emergency staff, including security briefings
- Maintain records, field reports and open/closure documentation
- Field deployments: Travel to Venezuela to support field operations as needed
Skills
- English/Spanish language abilities
- Ability to organize, manage and work effectively on complex opportunities
- Experience in rapid response to immediate humanitarian crises
- Ability to work across multiple time zones
- Experience in financial oversight including reviewing budgets and monitoring expenditures
- Ability to provide analysis and recommendations regarding program adjustments and resource allocation
- Experience in partnership and stakeholder management
