[Remote] Principal, IT Software Engineer 1
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. DIRECTV is seeking a Principal, IT Software Engineer 1 to design and develop end to end solutions while managing dependencies and cross-team impacts. The role involves mentoring team members, ensuring coding standards, and collaborating with various stakeholders to deliver comprehensive solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop end to end solutions, managing dependencies and cross-team impacts
- Mentor and guide team members on the Scrum team or development team by providing insight into technical approach
- Ensure coding standards and best practices are followed by the development team and participate in code reviews
- Collaborate with designers, product owners, and other stakeholders to deliver comprehensive solutions and ensure applications meet performance standards
- Collaborate with Enterprise and Solution Architects to define DIRECTV future state application environments and plan for existing applications
- Work across the corporate systems team to develop and manage sustaining and enhancing budgets for all projects
- Oversee the integration team which facilitates transactions among Corporate Systems applications and external sources
- Manage risk and request help from leadership, when necessary, to meet commitments or change directions
- Utilize ForgeRock platform access and identity management
- Apply experience developing ForgeRock journeys with focus on SSO, Access management, Identity Federation, Multi-factor authentication, and Risk-based authentication
- Utilize NodeJS and ReactJS to drive front-end technical excellence — architect and deliver performance, scalable, and reusable UI components and frameworks that ensure seamless user experiences
- Work with business leaders to understand execution priorities and how they result in business value; ensure that developed capabilities meet desired business outcomes
- Utilize REST, SOAP, Postman, SOAPUI and Mockito
- Deploy and debug AWS based applications
Skills
- Requires a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
- 3 years of experience in the job offered or 3 years of experience in a related occupation utilizing ForgeRock platform access and identity management
- Applying experience developing ForgeRock journeys with focus on SSO, Access management, Identity Federation, Multi-factor authentication, and Risk-based authentication
- Utilizing NodeJS and ReactJS
- Utilizing REST, SOAP, Postman, SOAPUI and Mockito
- Deploying and debugging AWS based applications
