Remote, Part-time Marketing Assistant
Overview
Looking for an experienced Marketing Assistant on a flexible, part-time basis. This is a fully remote contract role, ideal for a seasoned marketer who wants a bit of steady work on the side without a full-time commitment. You'll work across social media, SEO, and content for clients, with the freedom to set your own schedule. If you know your way around digital marketing and want low-stress work you can fit around the rest of your life, this is the role for you. Duties
- Write and schedule engaging social media content across platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn
- Publish and update content in WordPress, keeping sites current and SEO-friendly
- Conduct keyword research and apply on-page SEO best practices to improve organic visibility
- Build links and run outreach to grow domain authority and referral traffic
- Respond to Google reviews professionally and on-brand
- Build simple performance reports that track results and surface opportunities
- Support Google Business Profile and local SEO upkeep
- Create light graphics for social and web content as needed
Experience
- Several years of hands-on digital marketing experience
- Strong written English and a clean, persuasive writing style
- Proven experience managing WordPress and publishing optimized content
- A track record writing and managing social media content across platforms
- Working knowledge of on-page SEO and keyword research
- Some link building or outreach experience
- Local SEO and Google Business Profile experience
- Familiarity with GA4 and Google Tag Manager
- Google Ads / PPC experience
- Awareness of AI and generative search optimization
- Design skills (Canva, Adobe Photoshop, or similar)
Details
- 5 to 10 hours per week, fully remote, work on your own schedule
- Contract position (1099), $30 to $35 per hour
