[Remote] Paid Media Manager
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Good Peeps is an energetic agency that builds and scales brands online and at retail. They are seeking a Paid Media Manager to own campaign performance, leverage AI for efficiency, and maintain strong client relationships.
Responsibilities
- Run the campaigns and beat the KPIs
- Launch, manage, and optimize across the retail media networks — DoorDash, Criteo, Instacart, Roundel (Target), Walmart Connect, H-E-B, Kroger Precision Marketing, Sam's Club MAP, and Amazon Whole Foods Search. New networks pop up constantly; you'll pick them up fast
- Own the day-to-day: bids, budgets, keywords, placements, creative rotation — the unglamorous stuff that actually moves ROAS
- Watch spend like it's your own money. Keep pacing tight against ROAS, ACOS, TACoS, CTR, CPC, and NTB — and hit or beat target
- Run real A/B tests on creative, audiences, bidding, and formats. Have an opinion on what'll win, then go prove it
- Use AI (Claude, ChatGPT, custom GPTs, whatever's new this month) to run your day and your campaigns faster than should be possible
- Build AI-assisted workflows for reporting, keyword research, bid analysis, competitive digging, and performance recaps
- Wire up and use automations that kill manual busywork in setup, QA, pacing alerts, and reporting
- Bring ideas to the table, we're building the AI-native agency in real time and want your fingerprints on it
- Share what works so the whole team gets sharper
- Partner with our data crew to turn raw numbers into dashboards and a story clients actually get
- Be comfortable in the tools, Netlify, Google Slides, Looker, Google Sheets pulling and shaping data yourself
- Connect campaign performance to what clients care about: sales, growth, the business behind the brand
- Spot the weird thing in the data, ask the obvious question everyone skipped, and turn it into a move
- Line up media plans with brand strategy, content drops, promos, and big seasonal moments
- Make sure campaigns go live on time, with the right creative, against the right SKUs
- Quarterback seasonal pushes — back-to-school, summer, holidays — and prioritize the products that matter most
- Be the person clients trust on performance: check-ins, recaps, big strategy reviews
- Turn complicated performance data into something clear enough to act on
- Bring the insight before they ask. That's what makes us a partner, not a vendor
- Build real relationships: be responsive, own your misses, and actually care about their brand
- Keep up with platform updates, new ad formats, betas, and AI integrations before they go mainstream
- Help write the SOPs and playbooks that make the next person faster
- Help onboard new networks as retail media keeps reinventing itself
Skills
- 3–5 years in paid media, performance marketing, or retail media — hands on keyboard, not just managing decks and people
- Real reps on Meta, Google Ads, and/or TikTok. Cross-channel range is a strong plus if retail media isn't there yet
- You already use AI every day at work, not 'I've tried ChatGPT,' but genuinely part of how you operate
- You're good in front of clients. Calls don't rattle you; a curveball question doesn't lose you the room
- At home in dashboards and BI tools, and can partner with data to make the numbers make sense
- You juggle multiple accounts and shifting timelines without letting things slip
- You know your KPIs cold: ROAS, ACOS, TACoS, CPC, CTR, NTB, spend pacing, incrementality
- You turn data into a recommendation, not just a chart
- Organized and self-directed — no one hovering required
- Low ego, high output, genuinely good to work with

- You've built automations (AI or process hacks) that saved your team real hours
- Agency time with CPG, food & beverage, or e-commerce brands
- You've lived in Pacvue, Skai, CommerceIQ, or Perpetua
- You've built dashboards in Google Slides, Looker, Tableau, or Power BI
- You get the broader e-comm picture, SEO, content, digital shelf analytics
- You've touched Uber Eats Ads, Gopuff, or other delivery-based retail media
