Metro HS is launching a fully remote PM school from 4 pm - 8:30 pm. The ideal candidate has multiple license areas and can teach multiple subject at the pro rata rate. • Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with High School education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and other subjects.
• Create a stimulating classroom environment that promotes active learning, creativity, and social-emotional development.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively using positive reinforcement and behavior management strategies to ensure a safe and respectful space for all children.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and specialists to support student's individual needs, including those requiring special education or early intervention services.
• Conduct assessments and utilize standardized testing results to monitor student progress and tailor instruction accordingly.
• Engage children in age-appropriate activities that support childhood development milestones and promote physical activity and cognitive skills.
• Maintain detailed records of lesson plans, student progress, attendance, and behavioral observations to ensure compliance with childcare regulations and educational standards.

Qualifications

• Valid NY certification as 9-12 teacher ONLY.
• Proven experience working with High School students, including classroom experience with toddlers or preschoolers.
• Strong knowledge of curriculum development, classroom management techniques, and childhood development principles.
• Familiarity with special education practices, early intervention strategies, and literacy education methods.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members.
