The role involves monitoring and responding to network security events, implementing security controls, and collaborating with teams to enforce best practices.
Responsibilities
- Oversee comprehensive network security management, including firewall and intrusion prevention system configuration and maintenance
- Continuously monitor, analyze, and respond to network security events, identifying and mitigating potential threats in real time
- Implement and maintain robust cloud and endpoint security controls across diverse platforms and environments
- Lead efficient incident response efforts, including investigation, containment, eradication, and reporting of security incidents
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and enforce security best practices and standards aligned to business needs
- Guide and mentor other team members, fostering a culture of security awareness and professional development
- Ensure full compliance with relevant security policies, regulations, and industry standards
Skills
- Proven expertise in network security management, including configuring firewalls, VPNs, and network segmentation
- Strong experience monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving network security issues using advanced tools
- Demonstrated ability to implement and oversee cloud and endpoint security solutions in multi-cloud or hybrid environments
- Hands-on incident response experience, including investigation, remediation, and documentation of security events
- Exceptional collaborative abilities, with a track record of mentoring and knowledge sharing within technical teams
- In-depth knowledge of security frameworks, regulatory compliance, and policy development
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or equivalent are highly valued
