[Remote] Network Engineer- Secret Clerarance, Remote

Quevera is seeking a highly experienced Network Engineer to support the migration of a large-scale government network to cloud-based services. This role involves designing, implementing, and optimizing secure network architectures that connect on-premise environments with cloud platforms, requiring deep expertise in enterprise networking and federal security compliance.
Responsibilities
- Implement and support hybrid and cloud-native network to support the migration of enterprise government systems to cloud environments
- Engineer secure connectivity solutions between on-premise systems and cloud environments
- Configure and manage cloud networking components including VPCs/VNETs, subnets, route tables, gateways, and load balancers
- Implement and enforce network security controls in accordance with DoD/FedRAMP frameworks, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and zero trust principles
- Support system cutovers, testing, and validation to ensure minimal disruption to mission operations during migration
- Collaborate with cloud engineers, system administrators, cybersecurity teams, and program leadership to align network architecture with overall cloud strategy
- Troubleshoot complex network performance and connectivity issues across hybrid environments
Skills
- Active Secret clearance (required)
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in network engineering within enterprise or government environments
- Must hold an active CompTIA Security+ certification
- Must meet DoD 8570 IAT Level III requirements
- Deep understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), VLANs, DNS, DHCP, and network segmentation
- Experience with secure network design, including firewalls Palo Alto, Cisco ASA), VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems
- Familiarity with DoD, NIST, and/or FedRAMP security requirements
- Experience supporting large-scale network migrations or transformations
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
