Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Remote Medical Transcriptionist to join our expanding network of healthcare professionals. This full-time position offers the flexibility of working from anywhere within Dubai, contributing significantly to the efficiency and accuracy of medical records for various healthcare providers. As a Medical Transcriptionist, you will play a crucial role in converting dictated medical reports from physicians and other healthcare practitioners into comprehensive and accurate written documents. Your work will directly impact patient care, medical billing, and legal documentation, requiring an unwavering commitment to precision and confidentiality. We are looking for an individual with a strong command of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology, coupled with exceptional listening and typing skills. The ideal candidate will be adept at understanding diverse accents and dialects, capable of transcribing a wide range of medical reports, including but not limited to, patient histories, physical examinations, operative reports, consultation notes, discharge summaries, and diagnostic imaging interpretations. You will be expected to adhere strictly to established medical transcription guidelines, quality standards, and turnaround times, ensuring all documentation is error-free and compliant with industry regulations. Key Responsibilities

  • Transcribe dictated medical reports, including patient histories, physicals, operative reports, consultations, discharge summaries, and more.
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and proper formatting of all transcribed documents.
  • Review and edit transcribed reports for grammatical errors, punctuation, spelling, and consistency.
  • Adhere strictly to medical, legal, and ethical guidelines, including HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality.
  • Maintain high levels of productivity and meet specified turnaround times for all transcription tasks.
  • Utilize transcription equipment, word processing software, and medical reference materials efficiently.
  • Clarify inconsistencies or errors in dictation with appropriate personnel when necessary.
  • Continuously update knowledge of medical terminology, disease processes, and pharmaceutical names.
  • Participate in ongoing quality assurance and professional development activities. Required Skills
  • Proficiency in medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology.
  • Exceptional listening comprehension and ability to understand various accents.
  • Superior typing speed and accuracy (minimum 60-70 WPM).
  • Strong command of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies.
  • Proficiency with word processing software and transcription platforms.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
  • High degree of professionalism and adherence to confidentiality standards (e.g., HIPAA).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification from a recognized Medical Transcription program (e.g., AHDI).
  • Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
  • Familiarity with various medical specialties and report types.
  • Proven track record of meeting productivity and quality benchmarks.
