[Remote] Mechanical Design Engineer (Data Center)

They are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to deliver innovative plumbing design solutions for Data Center clients, working closely with a team to ensure technical quality and meet client expectations.
Responsibilities
- Layout and design of HVAC systems for data center designs
- Development of the design criteria for the HVAC systems. These HVAC systems would include general comfort heating and cooling, those with accurate temperature or humidity control, unique pressurization requirements, and critical cooling system designs for data center applications
- Development of conceptual design and preliminary design documents, which would include flow diagrams, and general arrangements
- Layout of Ductwork systems based on a Process and Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID)
- Development of final design documents including specification, piping layout, and final construction documents associated with these systems. These systems would include chilled water, cooling water, etc
- Mentoring of less experienced staff
Skills
- At least 8 years' experience in the design of HVAC systems for industrial facilities
- Proficiency in Revit
- Thorough knowledge of codes and standards related to the design of HVAC systems
- Adaptability to work within a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines
- Ability to collaborate with the project team remotely
- Software experience in AutoCAD, Carrier HAP, Trane Trace 700, and Trane Trace 3D
- Experience in the design of mechanical/plumbing/utility systems
