[Remote] Marketing Coordinator - Part-Time (USA)
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Species360 is a unique blend of a software company, a non-profit organization, and a global wildlife and plant care and conservation leader. The Marketing Coordinator will focus on creating compelling content across various platforms to increase awareness, support member engagement, and contribute to the mission of advancing animal welfare and conservation through information sharing.
Responsibilities
- Research, write, and edit engaging and informative blog posts on topics related to animal conservation, wildlife management, Species360 initiatives, ZIMS, the Species360 Conservation Science Alliance and the Species Conservation Toolkit Initiative (SCTI)
- Develop compelling written and potentially multimedia case studies and success stories showcasing the achievements and impact of Species360 member institutions, SCTI users, and partners
- Conduct interviews, gather data, and craft narratives that resonate with our audience
- Create engaging and timely content for the Species360 social media channels (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram)
- Write posts, source or create visuals (with support), schedule content, and engage with followers
- Assist with updates and content management on the Species360 website, including creating and editing web pages and blog posts, updating resources, and ensuring content is accurate and aligned with brand messaging
- Work closely with the Marketing and Communications team, as well as other departments, to ensure content aligns with overall marketing strategies and organizational goals
- Track and analyze the performance of content to identify areas for improvement and optimize future content strategies
- Keep abreast of industry trends in marketing, conservation, and the zoo and aquarium community
Skills
- Proven experience (2+ years) in a marketing or communications role, with a strong emphasis on content creation
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to adapt tone and style for different audiences and platforms
- Experience managing social media platforms for organizations, with a focus on engagement and growth
- Familiarity with website content management systems (experience with WordPress is a plus)
- A passion for wildlife conservation, animal welfare, and the mission of Species360
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a part-time capacity
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a remote team
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Environmental Science, Zoology, or a related field
