[Remote] Manager - Strategy & Management Technology Consultant
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Metis Strategy is a boutique management and strategy consulting firm focused on advising Fortune 500 and Global 1000 clients at the intersection of business, technology, and innovation. As a Manager, you will lead small teams in analyzing organizations’ capabilities, evaluate opportunities for improvement, and partner with clients to develop and implement strategic roadmaps.
Responsibilities
- Leading small teams of junior consultants within client engagements by overseeing and conducting primary and secondary research, data collection, and analysis and synthesis
- Creating structured analysis and modeling based on new and established frameworks and methodologies, including the ability to customize these to clients’ unique needs
- Developing clear and concise client presentations and reports and communicating actionable recommendations to executive clients and their teams
- Providing guidance and structure to Metis Strategy team members and stakeholders in the broader ecosystem, especially in complex, dynamic, and often ambiguous contexts
- Leading by exemplifying firm culture and policies and by identifying professional development opportunities for fellow team members
- Providing entrepreneurial and innovative thoughts about how to solidify, grow, and scale a relationship-driven professional services business
- Helping develop new methodologies, frameworks, and other intellectual property
- Contributing to intellectual capital development by turning your research and project-based intellectual property into white papers, articles, and other publishable materials
- Becoming involved in or assume leadership for internal tools and capability development
Skills
- 7 to 10+ years of relevant work experience and demonstrated success working collaboratively in a professional services role, ideally in a business strategy and/or management consulting environment
- Bachelors' Degree, preferably in the areas of business, finance, technology, or related fields
- A proven track record of working smartly and effectively to successfully manage small teams as well as complex workstreams in fast-paced environments with aggressive timelines
- Technology and business acumen with concrete examples of having helped companies solve complex business problems using a combination of people, process, and technology solutions
- A healthy balance of intellectual curiosity, confidence, humility, creativity, and empathy, with the ability to coach junior team members and senior clients
- Innovative problem-solving skills and entrepreneurial spirit, with the ability to turn ideas into action in pursuit of personal, team, and firm growth targets
- Ability to communicate complex ideas concisely, tailored appropriately for different audiences (executive to operational) and media (presentations, white papers, emails, etc.)
- Ability to produce polished and compelling analysis and recommendations for C-level initiatives
- Willingness to learn from, and collaborate with, others in order to build strong relationships with clients and team members
- Entrepreneurial grit with an outcome-oriented approach to business and an energetic 'roll up your sleeves' mentality
- High intellectual curiosity and intrinsically interested in, and knowledge of, emerging technologies and their applications in business contexts
- A graduate degree is not required but is considered a plus if in a relevant field
- Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship is preferred
