[Remote] Manager of Data Science

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Providence is one of the largest not-for-profit health systems in the United States. They are seeking a Data Science Manager to lead a team focused on enhancing the patient digital experience through analytics, modeling, and strategic direction for healthcare products.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of data scientists in helping the Digital Innovation Group understand the patient’s digital journey
• Apply rigorous hypothesis testing, statistical modeling, machine learning, and predictive analytics to inform product strategies
• Build churn, retention, and LTV models for the Providence App
• Develop next best action recommendation models personalizing content by patient cohorts
• Work with analytics and product leaders to understand their top priorities
• Define the team’s roadmap and ways of working, providing technical guidance and oversight
• Lead the data driven approach to incubation and commercialization of our product portfolio

Skills

• Bachelor's Degree Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics Or equivalent educ/experience
• 6 years of experience in data analysis, advanced statistical analysis, predictive analytics, with hands on experience in data mining, machine learning and predictive modeling
• 4 years Leadership experience
• Master's Degree Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics Or equivalent educ/experience
• Coursework/Training Data science or project management
• 1 year Experience in the Healthcare field
• 1 year Experience in project management
• Certifications in data science, project management or related fields (e.g., Certified Analytics Professional (CAP), Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP), or specific vendor certifications like Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Scientist Associate.)
