[Remote] Manager: Finance Product Management

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. The Medical College of Wisconsin is seeking a Manager for Workday Financials who will be responsible for the configuration, optimization, and ongoing support of Workday Finance modules. This role involves close collaboration with Finance stakeholders to translate business needs into system capabilities and to ensure reliable system operations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the configuration and ongoing support of assigned Workday Finance modules
  • Manage enhancement intake, backlog tracking, and prioritization in coordination with stakeholders and the Platform Manager
  • Support Workday Feature Release reviews, assess impacts, and coordinate implementation activities
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for Finance stakeholders, including managing escalations and issue resolution
  • Provide day-to-day leadership and guidance to a team of Finance Architects, Configurators, and Analysts
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize changes and enhancements based on business needs
  • Facilitate requirements gathering sessions and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) execution
  • Monitor case management processes and ensure timely resolution of system issues, including high-impact items
  • Ensure adherence to governance, standards, and best practices in system configuration and support

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 6+ years of progressive experience working with Workday platforms, including significant hands-on expertise in at least two of the following: FDM, Grants, Projects, Procurement
  • 3+ years of leadership or team lead experience
  • Working knowledge of Workday Financials modules
  • Understanding of product management concepts, with ability to support roadmap execution
  • Ability to translate business requirements into system configurations and scalable solutions
  • Familiarity with integrations and finance-related system architecture
  • Experience supporting system implementations, enhancements, or deployments
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage priorities across multiple stakeholders and initiatives
  • Team leadership skills with the ability to coach and develop others
  • Workday Certifications in FDM, Core Finance, Grants, Projects, Procurement
