[Remote] Machinist - Level 3 (CNC Grinder) 1st shift

They are seeking a Machinist - Level 3 to operate and maintain OD grinding machines, ensuring precision and quality in the manufacturing of cylindrical components while collaborating with production teams.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain OD grinding machines to produce precision cylindrical parts according to specifications
- Set up grinding machines, including selecting and dressing grinding wheels, and adjusting machine controls
- Inspect finished parts for dimensional accuracy and surface finish, making adjustments as necessary
- Maintain equipment and perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal machine performance
- Collaborate with quality control and production teams to meet production schedules and quality standards
Skills
- 5+ years of experience in operating OD grinding machines in a manufacturing environment
- 5+ years experience in the knowledge of grinding techniques, machine setup, and maintenance
- 5+ years of reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
- Technical diploma or certification in machining or manufacturing technology
- 3+ years of experience in grinding or precision machining roles
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement principle
- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers
- Experience with safety standards and procedures related to grinding operations
