[Remote] Legal Technical Analyst
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. London Approach is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Legal Operations Analyst to join their legal team. This role plays a critical part in optimizing legal processes, managing data and reporting, and supporting operational efficiency across the department.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and improve legal department workflows, processes, and systems
- Manage legal operations tools, including contract lifecycle management (CLM) and e-billing systems
- Track, analyze, and report on legal spend, vendor performance, and key metrics
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and outside counsel management
- Develop dashboards and reports to provide insights to leadership
- Assist with implementation and optimization of legal technology solutions, including AI-powered tools for contract review, document automation, and legal research
- Monitor trends in legal tech, artificial intelligence, and automation, recommending innovative solutions to improve efficiency and reduce risk
- Evaluate and pilot emerging technologies (e.g., generative AI tools, workflow automation platforms) within the legal function
- Coordinate cross-functional projects with internal stakeholders (finance, compliance, HR, IT, etc.)
- Maintain documentation of policies, procedures, and best practices
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with company policies
Skills
- Bachelor's degree (Business, Legal Studies, Finance, or related field preferred)
- 3–5+ years of experience in legal operations, paralegal work, or business analytics
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with legal tech platforms (e.g., CLM, e-billing systems)
- Familiarity with or strong interest in AI applications in legal operations and digital transformation initiatives
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working in a corporate legal department
- Familiarity with KPIs and legal performance metrics
- Knowledge of contract management and compliance processes
- Experience with tools like Power BI, Tableau, or similar
- Exposure to AI-enabled legal tools, automation platforms, or data governance practices
