Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Crossing Hurdles is seeking a Legal Expert to review AI-generated legal analyses and ensure accuracy and clarity in legal reasoning. The role involves generating high-quality legal content, evaluating AI responses, and supporting AI model improvement through legal annotation workflows.
Responsibilities
- Review AI-generated legal analyses, legal reasoning, and issue-spotting exercises for accuracy, clarity, logical consistency, and adherence to prompts
- Generate high-quality legal content, including structured legal explanations, model analyses, and expert-level reasoning workflows
- Evaluate AI responses involving statutory interpretation, case law analysis, procedural reasoning, and doctrinal application
- Identify errors in legal methodology, rule application, procedural posture, jurisdictional relevance, legal assumptions, and logical consistency
- Fact-check legal citations, rule statements, case references, statutory interpretations, and compliance-related assertions
- Analyze issues across legal domains including contracts, torts, criminal law, civil procedure, constitutional law, and regulatory/administrative law
- Compare and rank multiple AI-generated responses based on legal correctness, analytical depth, reasoning quality, and explanatory clarity
- Write structured written feedback explaining legal reasoning errors and the correct analytical path with precision and clarity
- Support AI model improvement through legal annotation workflows, expert evaluation, quality assurance reviews, and legal reasoning documentation
Skills
- Education: Bachelor s degree or higher in Law (JD/LLB), Legal Studies, Public Policy, Political Science, or a related field
- Strong years of professional experience in Law, Legal Studies, Public Policy, Political Science, compliance, or related legal fields
- Strong legal reasoning and issue-spotting skills including statutory interpretation, case analysis, rule synthesis, and application of legal doctrines
- Solid understanding of Constitutional Law, Contracts, Torts, Criminal Law, Civil Procedure, and Regulatory/Administrative Law
- Strong familiarity with compliance concepts, legal obligations, policy frameworks, defenses, procedural analysis, and jurisdictional distinctions
- Exceptional attention to detail when evaluating citations, legal standards, factual assumptions, procedural posture, and analytical consistency
- Excellent English writing skills with the ability to explain complex legal reasoning clearly, precisely, and in a structured format
- Ability to produce concise analytical feedback without unnecessary verbosity
- Reliable, self-directed, and comfortable working in a remote contractor workflow across time zones
- Minimum C1 English proficiency required
- Previous experience with AI data training, annotation, legal QA, legal editing, or expert review strongly preferred
