[Remote] Investment Banking Associate – Leveraged Finance, AI Residency (Part-time) | Applied AI x Corporate Finance

The role involves leveraging finance expertise to improve AI's handling of corporate finance through structured research and content evaluation.

Responsibilities

• You'll work directly on improving how Frontier AI handles corporate finance and gain rare, early exposure to how AI labs actually develop their models
• As part of the project, you will contribute your leveraged finance experience to a structured research project used to help improve AI reasoning across investment banking and capital markets
• The work involves generating, refining, and evaluating content that reflects how senior leveraged finance professionals think through transactions from structuring through execution and close

Skills

• 3–7 years of experience in leveraged finance at a bulge bracket or elite boutique
• Associate level across LBO financing, acquisition financing, high yield, or leveraged loans
• Deep expertise in leveraged finance structuring, debt capacity analysis, and capital structure optimization
• Strong financial modeling skills (incl. LBO, debt schedules, covenant analysis) and comfort with credit committee materials, lender presentations, and term sheet analysis
• Ability to articulate leveraged finance judgment clearly and precisely in writing
