[Remote] Inventory Operations Manager
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Elavi is a high-growth, venture-backed food CPG brand on a mission to bring permissible indulgence to the masses. The Inventory Operations Manager will oversee finished goods inventory management, coordinate fulfillment execution, and ensure compliance with retailer requirements while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to support the company's rapid scaling efforts.
Responsibilities
- Own finished goods inventory visibility across all distribution points: our 3PL, UNFI/Kehe warehouses, Amazon FBA, and retailer DCs
- Monitor inventory levels in real time and proactively flag low stock, potential stockouts, or product approaching best-by dates before they become a problem
- Build and maintain reorder triggers and min/max thresholds by location and channel so nothing falls through the cracks
- Partner with the Director of Supply Chain to ensure production timing aligns with inventory needs across all channels
- Coordinate outbound shipments to all end points: retail DCs, Amazon FBA warehouses, UNFI, our 3PL, and DTC fulfillment
- Track inbound and outbound shipments end-to-end, troubleshoot delays, and escalate discrepancies immediately
- Own freight and carrier coordination for finished goods movement, ensuring on-time, in-full (OTIF) performance across all channels
- Manage and reconcile inventory across systems (Cin7, Amazon Seller Central, SPS Commerce/EDI) to maintain accurate real-time counts
- Own Amazon FBA inventory: send-in plans, replenishment cadence, stranded inventory resolution, and storage limit management
- Monitor IPI score, aged inventory, and sell-through rates to minimize long-term storage fees and maximize in-stock rates
- Coordinate with the Head of Growth on inventory positioning ahead of promotional events, Prime Day, and seasonal pushes
- Manage EDI orders and wholesale fulfillment through SPS Commerce, ensuring accuracy and on-time shipping
- Own UNFI deductions and chargebacks: identify root causes, build dispute documentation, and track resolution to closure
- Maintain compliance with retailer routing guides and labeling requirements to minimize deductions and penalties
- Partner with Sales and Marketing to get ahead of inventory needs tied to retail resets, promotions, and new door openings
- Flag inventory risks to the COO, Director of Supply Chain, and Head of Growth early enough to act, not react
- Work with Finance on inventory valuations, COGS inputs, and working capital visibility as needed

- Experience managing inventory across a multi-channel brand (DTC + retail + Amazon simultaneously)
- Background working at a brand that scaled significantly during your tenure
- Familiarity with Shopify, Thrive Market, or Life Time Fitness fulfillment requirements
- Comfort building trackers, dashboards, or SOPs in Notion, Google Sheets, or similar tools
