[Remote] Instrument Maker Technician Apprentice Intern
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Yulista Holding LLC is seeking an Instrument Maker Technician Apprentice Intern to join their team at the NASA Glenn Research Center. This entry-level position involves training under journeyman level technicians to gain specialized technical skills in the fabrication and assembly of instrumentation hardware used in research test facilities.
Responsibilities
- The apprentice will train under journeyman level technicians for a total of 8,000 on the job training hours in order to complete the state of Ohio and NASA's Apprenticeship program
- Apprentices will be taught specialized technical skills to perform fabrication and assembly of intricate instrumentation hardware used in research test facilities at the NASA Glenn Research Center
Skills
- Candidates must be currently enrolled or have successfully completed a two (2) year Associate degree program in Precision Machining Technology, Manufacturing Technology or Mechanical Engineering Technology from an accredited Technical College
- Must be willing to complete 8,000 of on the job training as part of the requirements of the Apprenticeship program
- Candidates will be required to demonstrate competency over the course of the program in order to qualify for on-going employment
- Must be able to communicate and work well in a team environment
- Capable of following directions and utilizing time wisely for the maximum efficiency on assigned work tasks
- Must be safety conscience at all times
- Preference will be given to Calista shareholders and their descendants and to spouses of Calista shareholders, and to shareholders of other corporations created pursuant to the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act, in accordance with Title 43 U.S. Code 1626(g)
