[Remote] Independent Contractor – Business Development Consultant (Events & Experiences)
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. EventWeis is a Dallas-based event planning and production company specializing in corporate meetings and events. They are seeking an independent contractor to help bring in new business through a commission-only arrangement.
Responsibilities
- Identifying and engaging corporations, associations, and organizations that host meetings, conferences, employee events, executive gatherings, client events, grand openings, and other strategic business events
- Introducing qualified prospects and collaborating with the EventWeis team throughout the sales process, from initial introduction through proposal development, contract execution, and event confirmation
- Building relationships within your existing network to generate referrals and opportunities
- Developing relationships with decision-makers, venues, agencies, chambers, nonprofits, associations and community organizations that influence event purchasing decisions
Skills
- Background in sales, business development, or sales in the events industry
- Comfortable making cold outreach: phone, email, LinkedIn
- Professional communicator who represents well in front of corporate contacts
- Self-motivated and able to work independently without hand-holding
- Candidates may be located anywhere in North America and are expected to leverage local and regional networks to generate opportunities
- Existing connections in the corporate space is a plus, not a requirement
