[Remote] Human Resources Assistant - Onboarding

Churchstreeter and Crosse is looking for a Human Resources Assistant to coordinate and administer pre-employment and onboarding activities. This role is essential in ensuring a seamless hiring experience for candidates and involves close collaboration with various departments to maintain compliance and enhance the candidate experience.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee all pre-employment requirements, ensuring timely completion of background checks, screenings, verifications, and onboarding documentation while maintaining compliance, resolving issues, and communicating proactively with candidates, recruiters, hiring leaders, and vendors
- Coordinate and facilitate the end-to-end onboarding process by preparing new hire documentation, scheduling orientation and required onboarding activities, serving as the primary point of contact for new employees, and ensuring a seamless, welcoming experience that reflects the organization's mission and values
- Deliver an exceptional candidate experience by providing timely communication, proactive updates, and professional support throughout the pre-employment and onboarding process while serving as a trusted resource for candidate questions and expectations
- Ensure all pre-employment and onboarding activities comply with employment laws, healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and organizational policies while maintaining accurate HR records and safeguarding confidential employee information in accordance with HIPAA and privacy requirements
- Partner with Talent Acquisition, Human Resources, Occupational Health, Information Technology, Payroll, Security, and hiring leaders to coordinate a seamless onboarding process, communicate onboarding progress, address issues that may impact start dates or compliance, and support continuous improvement of onboarding processes and the candidate experience
- Maintain onboarding documentation and tracking reports, monitor key onboarding metrics to ensure start-date readiness, and provide administrative support for Human Resources projects and initiatives as assigned
Skills
- A year of experience in HR and onboarding
- Knowledge in pre-employment requirements, including licensure verification, occupational health, and compliance standards
- Knowledge of healthcare pre-employment requirements, including licensure verification, occupational health, and compliance standards
- Experience with HRIS systems
- Healthcare experience
