[Remote] HRIS Technical Administrator-Workday

The HRIS Technical Administrator serves as embecta's internal Workday subject matter expert, responsible for the configuration, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Workday platform.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary administrator and subject matter expert for Workday HCM
- Configure, maintain and optimize Workday modules including core HCM, Benefits, Compensation, Talent, and Absence modules
- Manage business process framework, security roles, condition rules, and calculated fields
- Lead configuration changes from requirements gathering and solution design through testing, deployment, and documentation
- Partner with the HR Team to build standard operating procedures for recurring Workday processes
- Support the ongoing maintenance and monitoring of Workday integrations and collaborate with HRIT and third-party vendors to troubleshoot issues as needed
- Serve as a Tier 3 escalation point for Workday system and data issues, conducting audits, root cause analysis, troubleshooting, and issue resolution
- Design, deliver and maintain scheduled and ad hoc reports to support HR, Finance, and leadership needs
- Support compliance and audit activities by maintaining accurate records, audit trails and appropriate documentation
- Provide training and support to HRBPs, managers, and HR team members on Workday functionality
- Lead technical delivery of HR system projects from planning and configuration through testing, deployment and post go-live support
- Manage Workday bi-annual release cycles by reviewing release notes, assessing business impact, coordinating test activities and communicating relevant updates
- Collaborate with HR Operations to prioritize system improvements and ensure changes are communicated effectively
- Maintain accurate project plans, testing documentation, configuration records, and system documentation
Skills
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5+ years of hands-on Workday HCM configuration experience
- Proficiency in core Workday modules: Core HCM, Business Processes, Security, Reporting (including calculated fields)
- Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex system and data issues independently
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical HR and business stakeholders
- Experience with Workday Prism Analytics
- Experience supporting HR Operations in a mid-size or publicly traded company
- Familiarity with SOX controls and compliance requirements within an HRIS environment
- Experience working with outsourced HR service providers
