[Remote] Growth Marketing Manager
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Middle Out is a boutique performance marketing and content agency for DTC brands. They are seeking a Growth Marketing Manager to co-own accounts, run paid media campaigns, and develop growth strategies while collaborating closely with the founder and creative team.
Responsibilities
- Co-own a book of DTC clients alongside the founder — you’re the strategist and the hands on keys support
- Run full-stack paid media across Meta (primary), Google, YouTube, and AppLovin: buying, structure, budget pacing, scaling, and killing what’s not working
- Build the strategy, then execute it — audience, offer, channel mix, and collaborating with our Creative Directors on content roadmaps
- Diagnose performance like an operator, not a dashboard-reader. When a metric moves, you think across channel attribution, creative health, offer/promo lift, site/funnel changes, external factors, and audience saturation before you touch a lever
- Partner with our creative team (UGC + production) to turn performance data into the next round of concepts
- Own the numbers that matter: new-customer CAC, bROAS/MER, AOV, Sub Opt-In %, CVR, CPA, RPV and know that no single one tells the story alone
- Report clearly to clients you can walk a founder through what happened and what’s next in plain english
Skills
- 3-5 years running paid media & strategy for DTC brands, agency or in-house
- You truly love growth marketing and the nuances in the space
- You come to the table with opinions and are open to hearing other perspectives
- You've led calls with C-Suite execs and founders alike presenting agendas
- You live in spreadsheets and can build a model, not just read one (Offer modeling, Cohort modeling, etc.)
- Comfortable with analyzing financial data (P&Ls, Contribution Margin, etc.)
- You think in systems and can diagnose why something moved, then act
- Strong written communication (you'll be client-facing and largely async)
- Self-driven. Remote works because you don't need to be managed into motion
- Experience with subscription DTC economics (Sub Opt-In %, retention curves, payback)
- Familiarity with our stack: Asana, Slack, Google Drive, Claude, Frame, Atria
- You've worked with brands across very different stages and margins
