[Remote] Full Stack Engineer

HTX Labs is dedicated to accelerating the future of learning through immersive software training solutions for the Department of Defense. They are seeking a Full Stack Engineer to build and support backend services and frontend interfaces for their EMPACT platform, ensuring a seamless experience across various systems.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain features across the full stack
- Develop APIs, services, and data models that scale
- Create user-facing components, dashboards, and tools
- Ensure systems work smoothly across web and immersive environments
- Write clean, testable, and well-documented code
- Participate in code reviews and technical discussions
- Follow secure development practices aligned with DoD standards
- Support testing, CI/CD, and deployment processes
- Work with designers to turn concepts into working interfaces
- Partner with DevOps and platform teams to ship reliable systems
- Stay close to user needs and feedback when building features
- Improve performance, architecture, and code quality over time
- Stay current with relevant technologies, including AI-assisted development
Skills
- 3 to 6 years of full stack development experience
- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Experience building production systems
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Experience with a backend language such as Node.js, Python, C#, or Java
- Experience building REST or GraphQL APIs
- Strong experience with React or similar frontend frameworks
- Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Firebase
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
- Understanding of authentication and identity systems
- Experience with 3D or real-time systems such as Unreal Engine
- Familiarity with LMS platforms or training systems
- Experience building dashboards or analytics tools
- Knowledge of secure development practices such as CMMC or NIST
- Experience with event-driven systems or real-time communication
- Familiarity with Docker or Kubernetes
