[Remote] Fossil Americas Upgrades Senior Project Manager
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. GE Vernova is seeking a Senior Project Manager to oversee and coordinate activities within Steam Power Upgrade Services projects. The role involves managing project budgets, schedules, and stakeholder communication while ensuring customer satisfaction and adherence to safety and quality procedures.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage project budgets, providing ongoing cost estimates to completion
- Plan and manage project schedules and payment milestones, including contingency planning to ensure timely delivery
- Oversee contractual scope, maintaining clear communication with all stakeholders
- Identify and manage risks and opportunities, ensuring all risks are mitigated
- Deliver accurate monthly management reports for all assigned projects
- Facilitate effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders
- Provide leadership and guidance throughout the project lifecycle, including conducting lessons learned reviews
- Act as the central point for project-based activities and perform additional duties as assigned
- Attend training seminars, as required
- Participate in external meetings with suppliers and customers, such as design reviews and kick-off meetings
- Maintain strong relationships with customers, peers, engineering teams, and global partners
- Ensure GE Vernova safety and quality procedures are adhered to within the project scope
Skills
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, or a high school diploma/GED with at least 6 years of experience in related fields
- Ability to travel 25% domestically and internationally
- Minimum 5 years project management experience
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid passport
- Master's degree from an accredited institution
- P. Eng. Certification and/or PMP/APM Certification
- Experience with power generation systems
- Practical knowledge of GE Vernova products is beneficial but not mandatory
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills to meet deadlines
- Clear thinker with strong analytical, quantitative, and results-oriented skills; able to make sound and timely decision
- Excellent facilitation and presentation skills for technical and business audiences
- Proactive ownership and responsibility for assigned tasks
- Ability to work effectively in a matrix environment, managing multiple assignments and priorities
- Continuous improvement mindset with the ability to identify and implement process enhancements
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, with working knowledge of Primavera P6 or MS Project
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a customer-focused approach
- Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities
