[Remote] Finance Associate
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Mackenzie Stuart is seeking a highly analytical and entrepreneurial Finance and Investments Associate to support investment analysis, financial planning, underwriting, reporting, and strategic initiatives across a healthcare real estate platform. This role involves working closely with finance, investments, operations, and leadership teams to evaluate opportunities and drive data-informed insights.
Responsibilities
- Support underwriting and financial analysis for acquisitions, dispositions, developments, recapitalizations, and other investment opportunities
- Build and maintain detailed financial models, including cash flow projections, sensitivity analyses, returns analyses, and scenario planning
- Assist with FP&A processes, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and management reporting
- Prepare investment memoranda, committee materials, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
- Analyze property, portfolio, and market-level performance to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
- Develop and refine dashboards, reporting tools, and data visualizations using business intelligence platforms
- Leverage AI tools and automation to improve reporting efficiency, streamline analysis, and enhance decision support
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, Economics, Business, or related field required
- 3+ years of experience in finance, investments, real estate, FP&A, or related analytical role
- Direct experience in healthcare real estate required; senior housing experience strongly preferred
- Experience in REITs, private equity, real estate investment, or healthcare services organizations strongly valued
- Strong background in underwriting, financial modeling, and investment analysis
- FP&A experience including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Demonstrated experience with business intelligence tools and reporting/analytics
- Exposure to AI tools, automation, or data-driven workflow improvement initiatives
- Advanced proficiency in Excel; ability to build complex models and work with large datasets
- Strong presentation, communication, and organizational skills
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or similar BI/reporting tools
- Experience using AI tools to support analysis, reporting, workflow automation, or data management
- Familiarity with senior housing operating metrics and healthcare real estate investment structures
- Understanding of capital markets, debt structures, and real estate valuation methodologies
- Prior exposure to institutional investment environments
