[Remote] EpicCare Ambulatory Analyst

Aberdeen Advisors LLC is seeking an experienced EpicCare Ambulatory Analyst to support the implementation and optimization of their Epic Ambulatory environment. The role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance ambulatory workflows and patient care through effective project leadership and technical expertise.
Responsibilities
- Configure, build, test, and maintain EpicCare Ambulatory applications in accordance with organizational standards and Epic best practices
- Gather business and clinical requirements from stakeholders and translate them into technical solutions
- Lead and participate in Epic implementation, optimization, upgrade, and enhancement projects
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, operational leaders, and IT teams to improve ambulatory workflows
- Perform workflow analysis and recommend process improvements to maximize system efficiency and user adoption
- Develop and execute test plans, validate system functionality, and support integrated testing activities
- Troubleshoot application issues and provide timely resolution for production support requests
- Coordinate project timelines, milestones, and deliverables while communicating project status to leadership
- Mentor junior analysts and provide guidance on Epic build standards and best practices
- Maintain thorough documentation of system configurations, workflows, and change management activities
- Participate in after-hours support during major upgrades or go-live activities as needed
Skills
- Current EpicCare Ambulatory Certification (required)
- 5+ years of hands-on experience supporting, implementing, or optimizing EpicCare Ambulatory
- Strong understanding of ambulatory clinical workflows and healthcare operations
- Proven experience leading Epic initiatives, workstreams, or project teams
- Experience managing multiple priorities within complex healthcare environments
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Experience with system testing, workflow validation, and end-user support
- Experience integrating or evaluating AI-enabled healthcare technologies, automation tools, or clinical decision support enhancements
- Experience with Epic upgrades, optimization initiatives, and large-scale implementations
- Additional Epic certifications are a plus
- Familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards such as HL7 or FHIR
- Experience working in Agile or hybrid project environments
