Remote Desktop Solution Consultant
Job Title: Remote Desktop Engineer Experience: 3+ years Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Remote Desktop Engineer to design, implement, and support virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) and remote access solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with platforms such as Citrix, VMware Horizon, or Azure Virtual Desktop, and a strong understanding of end-user computing environments. Key Responsibilities: Design, deploy, and maintain Remote Desktop / VDI environments. Manage and support platforms such as Microsoft Remote Desktop Services (RDS), Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops, VMware Horizon, or Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD). Monitor system performance, availability, and security of virtual desktop environments. Troubleshoot and resolve user issues related to remote access, connectivity, and performance. Configure and manage user profiles, policies, and access controls. Support patching, upgrades, and system maintenance activities. Collaborate with infrastructure, network, and security teams to ensure seamless operations. Optimize VDI performance, scalability, and user experience. Maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting guides. Required Skills & Qualifications: 3+ years of experience in Remote Desktop / VDI engineering or support. Hands-on experience with RDS, Citrix, VMware Horizon, or Azure Virtual Desktop. Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and Group Policy. Understanding of networking concepts (DNS, VPN, firewalls, load balancing). Experience with user profile management (FSLogix, roaming profiles, etc.). Ability to troubleshoot performance and connectivity issues. Familiarity with monitoring tools and log analysis. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Good communication skills in English (written and verbal). Preferred Qualifications: Certifications such as Microsoft, Citrix (CCA/CCP), VMware (VCP). Experience with cloud-based VDI solutions (Azure/AWS). Knowledge of security best practices in remote access environments. Scripting skills (PowerShell) for automation.
