[Remote] Deposit & Lending Group Product Manager
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. UMB Bank is a financial institution providing a range of banking products and services. The Deposit & Lending Group Product Manager will drive the vision and roadmap for the product suite, collaborating with various teams to enhance product offerings and ensure alignment with client needs.
Responsibilities
- Establish thought leadership and 1-3 year strategic vision for Product Roadmap including developing business cases and other artifacts necessary to drive support for new products and enhancements, and communication of roadmap to appropriate internal stakeholders
- Provide leadership direction of the development and management of pricing strategies that drive growth and profitability
- Cultivate strong relationships among working teams in IT, LOB, Risk, Marketing, and others including maintaining appropriate forums across the organization to drive transparency and share results of product execution strategy
- Work closely with cross functional partners and clients to understand client needs, changes in industry landscape, and help drive solutions that are meaningful for clients and revenue growth
- Provide leadership and oversight to project teams including:
- Identifying project goals, objectives, deliverables, constraints and issues
- Monitoring completion of tasks to ensure projects goals are achieved
- Demonstrating ability to work tactically to drive multiple, simultaneous initiatives to completion. May participate in or lead cross-functional projects
- Manage day-to-day priorities by working closely with functional partners and by providing expert support to front, middle and back office
- Create clear product epics and requirements that are easily understood by business and technology partners and then validate delivery against those requirements, owning the work from start to finish
- Own and manage a product backlog, with accountability for clearly expressing all backlog items to best achieve product strategy
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to determine how well the product is performing in the market, how it impacts the company operations, and ultimately how it contributes to profit
- Participate in industry events and stay abreast of competition and emerging needs and trends
- Collaborate with marketing to build out go-to-market strategies and lead campaigns and initiatives driving production adoption and growth
Skills
- An undergraduate degree and at least 10 years of related experience, preferably in Product Management in Financial Services
- Advanced understanding of industry, technology, marketing and product trends
- Demonstrated advanced leadership qualities, including a high degree of professionalism with the ability to influence and affect change within an organization
- Strong management skills (staff, project and product) with the ability to direct the day-to-day operations of a functional area through planning and delegation of work
- Effective problem-solving skills to make decisions based on limited precedents or guidelines
- Strong knowledge of evolving technologies
- In-depth knowledge of related product industry landscape
- Strong knowledge of regulatory issues
- In-depth knowledge of banking, banking systems and applicable technologies
- A graduate degree
- Previous experience managing a significant project budget
