[Remote] Data Scientist

The Data Scientist will leverage advanced analytics and machine learning techniques to solve complex business challenges, working with large datasets to build predictive models and communicate findings effectively.
Responsibilities
- Build predictive models using classification, regression, clustering, and time series techniques to address business needs
- Perform exploratory data analysis to identify patterns, anomalies, and insights in large datasets from multiple sources
- Create features from structured and unstructured data; apply feature engineering to enhance model performance
- Develop and validate models using train/test splits, cross-validation, and appropriate evaluation metrics
- Conduct A/B tests and analyze experiments to measure the impact of product changes or new features
- Build dashboards and reports to communicate findings; create data visualizations that tell compelling stories
- Collaborate with data engineers on data pipeline requirements to ensure data quality and availability
- Document analyses thoroughly, including methodology, assumptions, and limitations to ensure reproducibility
- Support production models by monitoring performance, investigating issues, and recommending improvements
Skills
- 3-5 years of hands-on data science experience, including model building and statistical analysis
- Strong understanding of hypothesis testing, regression, classification, and clustering methods
- Proficiency in Python (pandas, scikit-learn, matplotlib/seaborn) and SQL
- Practical experience building and evaluating predictive models; familiarity with common algorithms
- Ability to clean, transform, and prepare real-world data for analysis
- Experience creating visualizations and dashboards using Tableau, Power BI, or Python libraries
- Ability to present findings clearly to both technical and business audiences
- Experience with Jupyter notebooks, Git, and collaborative data science workflows
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field
- This position requires US Citizenship
- Master's degree in a relevant field
- Exposure to NLP, recommendation systems, or optimization problems
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or OCI
