[Remote] Data Loss Prevention Analyst

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Blu Omega is seeking a Data Loss Prevention Analyst to support a federal program focused on cybersecurity operations. This role is responsible for managing and maintaining the Symantec Data Loss Prevention environment to protect sensitive healthcare data.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain the existing Symantec DLP system following established processes
• Monitor DLP alerts, identify security incidents, and investigate findings
• Resolve alerts promptly to prevent data leaks or unauthorized access
• Document actions and coordinate with security teams for system maintenance and updates
• Maintain system health and ensure compliance with data protection standards
• Support vulnerability management activities, including scanning, triage, reporting, remediation, and verification
• Contribute to continuous monitoring and threat detection efforts
• Provide data analytics support for detection, response, and trend analysis

Skills

• Hands-on experience operating Symantec DLP solutions
• Strong alert management and incident resolution skills
• Familiarity with DLP policies, workflows, and reporting
• Ability to analyze security findings and take corrective actions
• Good communication skills for documenting and coordinating incident responses
• Experience with NIH or federal cybersecurity environments
• Knowledge of enterprise cybersecurity best practices and incident management
• Relevant certifications in cybersecurity or data protection
