[Remote] Crisis Communications Consultant

Red Banyan is a globally recognized strategic and crisis PR firm, and they are seeking experienced Crisis Communications Consultants to support their growing crisis and reputation management practice. This role involves assessing reputational risks, developing crisis communication plans, and managing client needs during high-pressure situations.
Responsibilities
- Assess reputational risk and strategically advise clients during time-sensitive, high stakes situations across a range of industries, and pivoting strategy in response to rapid changes in the crisis
- Develop and write crisis communications plans, messaging, and response materials for internal and external audiences
- Collaborate closely and seamlessly with Red Banyan leadership, client teams, the client and counsel
- Lead client calls, manage client needs and expectations, and successfully move clients through their crisis
- Manage media relations and meet press deadlines
Skills
- 7+ years of experience in crisis communications and reputation management
- Exceptional writing, verbal, and strategic thinking skills
- Proven ability to operate calmly and decisively under pressure
- Comfortable working collaboratively as part of a team
- Experience and comfortability with internal tools and resources for time tracking, file sharing platforms, media monitoring, and internal communications
- Experience with social media platforms and online cancel culture
- Flexible schedule. Availability and willingness to work evenings and weekends, when needed
- Comfortable working with individual clients, nonprofits and corporations
- Agency experience strongly preferred
