[Remote] Copy Lead & Content Strategist
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Moon Juice is looking for a Copy Lead & Content Strategist to own their content engine and help shape storytelling across channels. This role involves both strategic and hands-on execution responsibilities, focusing on developing a cohesive content strategy while writing across various platforms.
Responsibilities
- Partner directly with the VP of Brand to codify Moon Juice's tone of voice into a formal editorial style guide — the definitive reference for how the brand sounds across every channel and touchpoint
- Own the through-line between brand positioning and executional voice, ensuring consistency across a team of channel owners and, over time, additional copywriters
- Serve as the internal authority on voice: reviewing, calibrating, and correcting drift in copy produced across the brand
- Develop monthly and seasonal editorial themes that connect storytelling across social, email, creator, PR, and owned channels
- Translate business priorities, product launches, founder expertise, and cultural insights into compelling content opportunities
- Build repeatable content franchises, editorial formats, and storytelling frameworks that scale across channels
- Identify emerging consumer, wellness, and cultural conversations relevant to Moon Juice
- Partner with channel leads to bring editorial themes to life in ways that feel native to each channel
- Write across channels including Email, Social, Product Storytelling, Website, Amazon, Brand Campaigns, Paid Social, and Print (retail signage and other brand assets)
- Turn complex scientific, ingredient, and biological concepts into compelling, accessible stories
- Develop messaging frameworks, hooks, headlines, and narrative territories
- Partner closely with founder to develop educational, editorial, and thought leadership content
- Translate product truths, scientific insights, and cultural tensions into founder-ready content frameworks
- Help identify original perspectives and conversations Moon Juice can uniquely lead
- Serve as the connective tissue across Brand, Social, Lifecycle, Influencer, PR, Product Marketing, and Creative
- Ensure content efforts ladder back to brand strategy and business priorities
- Collaborate with Creative to bring concepts to life visually
- Help establish content planning processes and editorial operating rhythms
Skills
- 7+ years in brand writing, copywriting, or editorial roles
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills
- Familiarity with claims, substantiation, and regulated marketing environments is a must
- Experience translating scientific concepts and mechanisms of action into consumer-friendly storytelling while maintaining accuracy
- Comfortable operating as a sole contributor across all channels, with the ability to scale into a team-building/managerial role over time
- Understands modern culture, media, and how people consume content today
- Experience building content programs, editorial franchises, and brand storytelling ecosystems
- Balances storytelling with performance
- Highly organized and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams, move quickly, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in supplements or health & wellness industries strongly preferred
- Editorial, magazine, publishing, or journalism background is a plus
