[Remote] Clinical Sciences FY 27 Research Scientists/Scholars I, II, III or Senior Open Pool

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Colorado State University is seeking Research Scientists/Scholars at various levels in the Department of Clinical Sciences. The role involves conducting research in areas such as virtual reality, animal health, and infectious diseases, while collaborating with a team to support federally funded research projects.

Responsibilities

• Conducting laboratory, field, or computational research activities
• Collecting, managing, and analyzing research data
• Assisting with experimental design and protocol implementation
• Maintaining laboratory equipment, materials, and documentation
• Contributing to manuscripts, reports, and presentations
• Collaborating with faculty, staff, graduate students, and other research personnel

Skills

• PhD, Doctorate or equivalent degree in Veterinary Sciences or closely related field at the time of hire is required for all levels
• Level I is for individuals generally within three years of receiving their Ph.D., Doctorate or equivalent degree and with significant professional accomplishments
• Level II is analogous to the Assistant Professor title for regular faculty. It generally includes people with three to seven years of experience beyond the Ph.D., Doctorate or equivalent degree and very significant professional accomplishments
• Level III is analogous to the Associate Professor title for regular faculty. It generally includes individuals with more than seven years of experience beyond the Ph.D., Doctorate or equivalent degree and with very significant professional accomplishments
• The Senior level is analogous to the full Professor title for regular faculty. It generally includes individuals well beyond the Ph.D., Doctorate or equivalent degree level that have demonstrated outstanding, sustained, and extraordinary professional accomplishments, as well as professional leadership
• Pre-employment criminal background check (required for new hires)
• Candidates with knowledge and experience in one or more of the following fields are preferred: animal health, infectious disease, soft-tissue, cancer, orthopedics, specialties, and reproduction
