[Remote] Chief Operating Officer (Oil & Gas Field Services)

Real Deal Talent is a well-established, private equity–backed industrial services company seeking a Chief Operating Officer to lead its next phase of growth. The COO will own operational performance and translate growth strategy into execution while preserving the company's entrepreneurial culture.
Responsibilities
- Provide operational leadership across a geographically distributed, multi-site services organization
- Build and embed scalable systems, KPIs, and reporting cadence to support significant revenue growth
- Lead the integration of acquired businesses, including operational and cultural alignment
- Drive systems and infrastructure modernization, including ERP, CRM, and technology-enabled quality and reporting tools
- Partner with the commercial organization to align operational capability with revenue growth
- Present operational performance and plans to the board, incorporate feedback, and execute
- Develop, motivate, and elevate an existing operations team, leading through influence and trust, not disruption
- Help build the operational backbone that supports the company's long-term value-creation plan
Skills
- Proven operational leadership (COO, President, Managing Director, VP/SVP of Operations, VP/SVP of Transformation) within industrial services, field services, or a related multi-site, project-based services business
- Demonstrated experience scaling a business through a period of significant growth
- Track record of post-acquisition integration, operationally and culturally
- Experience building systems, metrics, and reporting from a less-mature baseline; a resourceful 'roll up your sleeves and execute' operator
- Strong commercial acumen and understanding of how operations drives revenue
- Polished enough to engage a private equity board, with the operational substance to deliver
- Comfortable in a lean, entrepreneurial environment without a large corporate back office
- Bachelor's degree or higher preferred
- Specific industry sub-sector experience is welcomed but not required
