[Remote] Business Development Manager - Mining Equipment Sales

Brunel is partnering with a growing mining equipment solutions provider to hire a Business Development Manager who thrives on building relationships with multiple mine sites. The role involves expanding market presence, growing existing customer relationships, and identifying new opportunities with mining operations throughout the Western U.S.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to grow market share and increase revenue
- Build and strengthen relationships with active mine sites throughout the Western U.S
- Manage assigned accounts while actively pursuing new business opportunities throughout the region
- Drive sales of large mining equipment components and related solutions
- Identify and support equipment brokerage opportunities
- Perform equipment inspections and assess customer equipment needs
- Partner with leadership to source equipment and components that meet customer requirements
- Monitor market trends, customer activity, and competitive intelligence to identify growth opportunities
- Consistently achieve or exceed sales, profitability, and KPI targets
Skills
- 10+ years of experience within the mining industry
- Strong knowledge of mining equipment parts and components and maintenance practices
- Knowledge of Caterpillar and Komatsu, yellow iron, mobile surface mining equipment parts and components
- Proven ability to build trusted customer relationships and close business opportunities, relationship driven sales vs transactional
- Financially savvy with the ability to understand margins, profitability, and business drivers
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset with a strong focus on customer success
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Valid driver's license and passport required
- Must currently reside in Wyoming, Utah, Colorado, or Idaho and be authorized to work for any employer in the United States
- MSHA certification
